While it was dumping snow outside yesterday (we got 17 inches in 9 hours), I fiddled. I came up with some cute things, a spiral, a star, a Swedish flower of sorts, but what I ended up using after all was a modification of a traditional border. It's a nine stitch flower and a three stitch cross worked four times over 48 stitches. My other sketches just felt too distant from the Nordic feel I was hoping to reference, so I stuck with the traditional.
And after the snow stopped around 4 p.m.,the clouds lifted a bit and we were treated to a sunset that I caught for Sandy. It sort of goes with the colour theme of my recent knitting, eh?
