Here's a meme for you: Margene flashed her license plate the other day, and I admired it. So she asked to see the part of my car that is distinctly mine and here it is:
The sticker on the side window is for The Hot Club of Cowtown, an Austin band that sounds like Django and Bob Wills jamming together. I love them enough to stick their logo on my car.
The peace sign is shorthand for my feelings about the war, but as I told Kate not too long ago, if my car were to serve as an accurate transmission of my feelings, it would be covered in writing.
The star just makes me smile. It's made by a local couple who paint magnetic stickers for cars and sell them in a couple of art galleries. Up here you can see them rather frequently. My step kid's mom even has a a bunch of their flames stuck on the hood of her Mazda MVP. It's ironic. get it?
As a meme, this is only to take a picture of the part of your car that makes it yours, be it the bumper stickers, the junk on the back seat, or the doo-hickies dangling from your mirror. Show us your ride!

I cannot believe you like Hot Club of Cowtown! If you like them, you should also listen to 8 1/2 Souvenirs another Texas/Django Reinhardt cross.
The only distinguishing charactaristic of my current car is the dents! I swear I have never had as many dents in a car in my life and I've only had this one 5 years!

Well, you'll have to give me a day or so in order to be near the car, the camera and daylight at the same time... but I'm going to have a hard time articulating why my car is my one, true car.
