(sniffle) Such a loving tribute. I'm so sorry to hear about his leaving.

Lynn

We are all lucky for the 'Georges' in our lives.

Linda D

Oh, honey, I am so sorry. How wonderful that you were able to share such a life. He'll be with you always.

Catherine D.

Oh, bugger, the hairless primates live too long and the furry friends not long enough. I'm so sorry about George.

Margot

My heart aches for you Julia. Such a lovely tribute; I almost feel like I knew him after all. Such a lucky dog to have you + the Mister.

May

I'm glad you had at least the time with him that you did. He was much loved and that's the most important thing. I'm going to give my dog an extra hug good night for your George.

Alicia

So sorry for your loss. He has now crossed the Rainbow Bridge. He'll never be forgotten.

Jody

I am so sorry for your loss! I grew up with a Poodle very much like George and agree that they are very special dogs :0)

Bevin

This is truly heartbreaking. I am sorry for your loss. He was lucky to have been loved so well.

Heather

My thoughts are with you my friend. May the memories of his love continue to comfort you.

jennie

what a beautiful post -- i teared up a little at the end and then promptly went to hug my kittens (much to their chagrin, since they don't really like being squeezed).

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Beverley

Oh , so sorry to hear about George. I well know how an animal can worm its way into your heart.

I will give our cat "Patches" an extra hug for you tonight. We are indeed blessed to have an animal bestow their love and affections on us.

When we "lost" our last feline friend after a long illness we couldn't face another for a year but were "adopted" by our neighbours kitten. And yes we felt quilty about that but it didn't matter how often we took her home she prefered our place to theirs.

As the vet said at the time , it would be a shame to deny ourselves of the love of an animal just because their lifespan is shorter than ours. So one day you may feel up to another "friend" to share your home.

Best wishes... >^..^<

Wanda

I'm so sorry to hear of George's passing.

Pam

I'm sorry for your loss - but grateful with you for such a nice friend. I think loss or its possibility is the price we pay for loving. Painful, but always worth it.

Madge

What a wonderful tribute to George. I'm so sorry he's gone; when we lose a furry friend there's a hole in the fabric of life, isn't there? *hugs*

I enjoyed your beautiful tribute to George. He was very lucky to have you and the Mister in his life. Sending good thoughts to you both.

Jessica

I'm so sorry to hear about George. I had some pet deaths this summer and know how rotten this feels. Take care.

Jen da Purse Ho

I'm so sorry about George. He was lucky to have you as his mama. *hugs*

Tonia

I am so sorry for your loss. My animals have always been family members and it is so hard to see them go. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

I'm so sorry, I remember all too clearly what it was like to lose my best childhood playmate. They ask so little of us and give so much. I will be less sharp with the Gpigs when they bully me with their squeaking (I don't say "celery" enough)

Donna

We have a saying in my family: "the dog that spoiled us for other dogs" - sounds like George, and thank goodness.

Arianne

I am so sorry that George is gone. I lost my best dog Rocky last year at this time...he was just the best best dog in my life ever...I miss him still...I know how hard it is...it's not easy to get over. It going to be a long time yet before I can have another dog in my life...I know how hard it is to heal that wound...to fill that space.

My heart goes out to you.
