Surely you've heard that Abby Franquemont is a terrific teacher.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?"
Her classes are a lot of fun too, as I can attest. Random Kelly got the spinners email list together and organized a whole weekend of Franquemont frolics:
We learned how to spindle like the pros:
Students demonstrating correct butterfly technique (Kelly's photo)
We picked up handy Abbyisms like "Twist lock", "yarnular", and "the full Judith".
We did stupid yarn tricks:
I never thought I could do this without ruining a spindle (another pic from Kelly)
We played Truth or Dare and overcame our fears, or simply showed that we had none:
We played spindle conkers with the Bosworths:
And we ate cake, but you kinda had to be there for that one. There was shopping, thanks to the vendors who had come to take classes: Kim of Woolen Rabbit, Heather of Mad Color, and Josette of Enchanted Knoll Farm.
Buckets of Woolen Rabbit, braids of Mad Color
What a great way to kick off the month of Tour de Fleece. Thanks to everyone who came, spun, and laughed. I hope you'll come back soon.

Is there a way to get on the email list for future events like this? Looks amazing!
