Wisteria is moving slowly along, in spite of the week I had to myself to work on it.
Partly because I did other things besides knit up there on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan; things like paddle a kayak and drag the good sport of a 15 year old up and down hills and lakeside trails. But mostly Wisteria has been slow because I added a two extra crossings of the lattice at the bottom border, and that sucker is the slowest knitting ever.
Totally worth it though. I love the visual weight of it. Now for sleeves. I'm on the verge. Any day now. I can feel it.
Really.
Good mod. She'll forgive you.

Love the extra rows of cabling at the bottom. I've resisted casting on for this one so far. I don't think I'll be able to for much longer.

The cables at the shoulders remind me of Greek statues of women where their hair makes those kinds of tendrils.

I'm just starting the bottom cables. Luckily, I'm short, so I won't have to add extra cables...although now that you mention it, I want a matching skirt with Wisteria cables on it.

I like the extra crossings at the bottom. They balance the crossings at the neckline. To me, that kind of balance is important. Very lovely.

It looks great! And modification is the sincerest form of sorority. If the Second Knitter hadn't changed the First Knitter's First Pattern, the First Knitter would not have thought of another refinement, which gave the Second Knitter another idea, which the Third Knitter took and ran with, and so on, and here we are today... instead of living in a very sheepish-smelling cave. So to speak.
