The new Interweave Knits has started to arrive in mailboxes, I guess, because mine showed up this morning. Lo, and behold . . .
It's my profile of Mary Jane Mucklestone.
They used the photos I sent them, which made me feel pretty good (I am no Jared or Michelle). But I cannot take credit for the great shot of Mary Jane herself; my own were pretty miserable. Mary Jane's friend, Emily Rogals, took that particular shot. I'm better with inanimate subjects, like yarn, and afghans (like this one on her couch)
or moodboards (like the one in the article, or this one in her "hidey hole" thinking space:
Her whole house is a kind of mood board really, not cluttered in the way that such a fact might suggest, just composed in a manner that I found to be riveting, and made me vibrate with excitement to get home and knit some myself. It was a wonderful day, way back in March. Thanks again, Eunny, for asking me to do this, and to Mary Jane, for all the tea and laughs.
I loved the photos - and the article!

I haven't seen the article yet, but the photos here are nice! I love that mood board. I didn't know there was a name for it. My friends call mine a disastrous mess.
