The Forecast: dry, sunny, mid 80's, not much wind.
The Vendors: 11 of my favorites from near and slightly far (Lisbon, Maine is totally driveable on one cup of coffee -- that's how I measure distance these days).
The Alpacas: AWESOME!!!!
The People: over 500 came through the gate, to knit,
to spin
to watch Vintage Baseball,
not the Russian Spindle class, but close
to buy a beer, and or a skein of yarn and a bump of fiber. There was chat,
and laughter, new skills here and there.
Lots of happy faces all over the place. In short, perfection.
Thanks to one and all, it was a fantastic day.
I was SO disappointed to miss this year, especially since the weather was so glorious, but last minute family events intervened. There were some vendors whose wares I particularly wanted to see (I mean buy!)And I missed patting the alpacas. Someone should do a kids' book called "Pat the Alpaca" instead of "Pat the Bunny," don't you think?

Oh goodness! This looks like the fiber fair to end all fiber fairs! Ours is in May here in MN and it's always super crap-ola weather. This looks divine.
Also, the alpaca in the minivan is my favorite photo of all time!

Did you see your little sheepy sweater soaking in the Yarn Harlot's sink?
